Version 1.13.1: Faces, hands and a bigger picture

November 4, 2026

Since version 1.13.0:

  • Every person in the miniature, the portraits and the chronicle pictures now has a mouth as well as eyes.
  • Hands hold things the way hands do: the abbot’s book, the messengers’ letters, the squire’s shield, a mason’s brick, the painter’s palette. No hand reaches through what it holds any more. Every person now has exactly two hands, and a book, a letter, a brick or a board is held by its outer edge.
  • More life on the water and in the sky: songbirds, swallows, swifts and rooks with bodies and beating wings, mallards on the lake, a stork with its legs where they belong. The oxen and the leaping fish have eyes too.
  • The island’s hillfort is drawn anew, the fish weirs reach the shore, and the grange’s boat is larger. The hod carrier, the hay for the oxen and the farmhand’s noon rest look natural now.
  • On laptops the miniature and the abbey share the screen half and half. The goal card shows its portrait beside the goal and its resources. Where the card does not fit, its button stands next to the bell. The miniature fills its whole half, and the game’s hints and the chronicle bar stand above the tabs on the right.
  • The resource bar is more compact, and the legal links in Settings stand in one row.
