Version 1.7.0: Trade, feasts, guests and decisions that change the rules

October 22, 2026

Since version 1.6.1 the abbey has much more to do and to decide.

Trade and the abbey's year

  • Trade: sell fish and grain for silver at Oderberg (era II), at the Amt market (eras III–IV) and to the café (era V). Prices follow the season, and every load sold lowers the price for a while.
  • Feasts in game time: Lent, Easter, the harvest and Advent, later the harvest thanksgiving and the Advent concerts. Each has a small goal for its days, a reward and a source.

Small works between goals

  • 28 named works, from brick drying sheds and a ridge turret to the Fürstensaal paintings and the café terrace. Each costs a few minutes of income, gives a small bonus and appears on the miniature. Some come in pairs: choose one.

Guests and situations

  • Pilgrims, travellers and visitors now ask for something first: bread, a bed, the way. In era V visitors ask about a chronicle page you have read. Guests come by day.
  • Ten new choice events with sources, from the visitation by the abbot of Lehnin to the beavers in the Bullenwiesen.
  • Storms and high water cut production for a while; a marker on the miniature lets you deal with it.

Decisions and offices

  • The abbot's decisions now change rules, not only numbers: a stronger spring flood, cheaper repairs, more wear from concerts and more.
  • A brother in an office leaves his work, and you see him at his office's place in the miniature. The office shows the trade-off.

And more

  • The lands map grows with the story: the Oder, Oderberg, the canal, the chaussee, the railway.
  • Music thins when the stores run low; bells ring when the monument is fully repaired.
  • Every notice stays seven seconds; buttons in a row have one size; wider windows on tablets and computers; the sync dot is green only right after a sync.
  • The daily alms explain what a frieze is.
